Embedded media are uploaded always rather than external media that can be uploaded only if an <a href=\".\/linked-external-media\" target=\"_blank\">external media folder<\/a> is chosen. Otherwise, the media should be copied manually to the exact location with exact names.\n    <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><a id=\"from_ext_urls\"><\/a><strong>Also by external URLs<\/strong>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">\n      Documents can contain images linked by external URLs like \u2018https:\/\/not-my-site.com\/image-1.jpg\u2019. Check this option to download them. Otherwise, images\u2019 links will be untouched.\n    <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><a id=\"embed\"><\/a><strong>Embed<\/strong>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">\n      Body\u2019s images will be inserted as data into HTML instead of uploading to the site. Note that the <a href=\".\/featured-image\" target=\"_blank\">Featured image<\/a> and similar have to be always uploaded.\n    <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><a id=\"overwrite\"><\/a><strong>Overwrite existing<\/strong>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">\n      The file will be replaced. And, if \u2018Place into the library\u2019 is chosen the metadata and different image sizes will be updated too.\n    <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><a id=\"image_delextwebp\"><\/a>\n  <\/li>\n<li><a id=\"place_into_library\"><\/a><strong>Place into the library<\/strong>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">\n      By default, all images are uploaded to the media library. But, just uploading is available that prevents them to be processed by WordPress. Additionally, the media library item name will be formed according to the document\u2019s title and the media name specified it \u2018title\u2019 property.\n    <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><a id=\"image_filename_size\"><\/a><strong>Image size<\/strong>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">\n      By default, the result image URL is without size specification. But if some size is chosen then the final URL\u2019s image filename will be suffixed by a specified size e.g. \u2018https:\/\/site.com\/image-50&#215;50.jpg\u2019. Note, if the original image size is smaller than the specified size, it will not be generated by the system.\n    <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><a id=\"img_orig_size\"><\/a><strong>Original size<\/strong>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">\n      There is an option to create a clickable image with a link to the original one. Available modes:\n    <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>None<\/strong>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">\n          No links to the original image.\n        <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Link<\/strong>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">\n          The image will have a link to the original image.\n        <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Link in the new window<\/strong>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">\n          The image will have a link to the original image, opened in the new window.\n        <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><a id=\"image_descr_as_filename\"><\/a><strong>Image description as filename<\/strong>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">\n      The file name will be got from the image description. Furthermore, the file name can be <a href=\".\/images#filename\" target=\"_blank\">also specified<\/a> by the \u2018filename\u2019 <a href=\".\/raw-html#attributes\" target=\"_blank\">raw HTML attribute<\/a> (see the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.s-sols.com\/data\/products\/wordpress\/post-docx-source\/samples\/Main%20Sample.docx\" target=\"_blank\">sample<\/a>).\n    <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><a id=\"prepend_doc_slug_to_filenames\"><\/a><strong>Prepend document&#8217;s slug to filenames<\/strong>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">\n      It allows separating files when uploading is from different documents to the same directory.\n    <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><a id=\"clean_alttitlehref\"><\/a><strong>Clean original title, alternative text, and link attributes<\/strong>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">\n      It\u2019s a cleanup ability to avoid unneeded data.\n    <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><a id=\"gen_alttitle\"><\/a><strong>Generate title and alternative text attributes if they are empty<\/strong>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">\n      For best SEO results all images should have these attributes. There are alternative text and title\u2019s templates. Available template\u2019s variables:\n    <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>%filename_wo_ext%<\/strong>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">\n          The filename without extension.\n        <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>%post_title%<\/strong>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">\n          The post title.\n        <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>%sep%<\/strong>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">\n          Separator symbol from active SEO plugin. If there are no <a href=\".\/getting-started-pds#plugins_compat\" target=\"_blank\">supported SEO plugins<\/a> active ordinary hyphen is used.\n        <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>%alt%<\/strong>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">\n          Current alternative text.\n        <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\"><strong>Note.<\/strong> The featured image\u2019s title is always set to <strong>%post_title%<\/strong>.\n    <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\"><strong>Note.<\/strong> If there is a need for more variables, please, <a href=\"mailto:support@s-sols.com?subject=Post%20.DOCX%20Source%20-%20Title%20and%20alternative%20text%20variables\" target=\"_blank\">write to us<\/a>.\n    <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><a id=\"fn_to_slug\"><\/a><strong>Convert file name to slug using<\/strong>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">\n      Documents ordinary contain images with filenames that don\u2019t look like slugs. This option correctly converts them.\n    <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>only file name<\/strong>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">\n          Only file name will be used.\n        <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>alternative text, or file name<\/strong>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">\n          If alternative text is available, it will be used. Otherwise only file name will be used.\n        <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><a id=\"use_image_crop\"><\/a><strong>Use image cropping<\/strong>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">\n      If the image is cropped, the result uploaded image will be cropped too. If \u2018<strong>Use image resizing<\/strong>\u2019 is not set and the image is scaled, only cropping will be applied.\n    <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><a id=\"use_image_resize\"><\/a><strong>Use image resizing<\/strong>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">\n      If the image is scaled, the result uploaded image will be scaled too. If \u2018<strong>Use image cropping<\/strong>\u2019 is not set and the image is cropped, only resizing will be applied.\n    <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><a id=\"use_image_offset\"><\/a><strong>Use image position<\/strong>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">\n      When image is floated, it\u2019s position will be applied.\n    <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><a id=\"use_image_border\"><\/a><strong>Use image border<\/strong>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">\n      Border is converted to the closest style matched. Color of gradient fill is used only the first one.\n    <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><a id=\"check_final_urls\"><\/a><strong>Check final URLs<\/strong>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">\n      Also, it\u2019s possible to check the final image source URLs after conversion. It will produce warnings if some image isn\u2019t found on the site after conversion. It is helpful when images are loaded externally.\n    <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><a id=\"url_base\"><\/a>URL base<br \/>\n<\/h2>\n<ul start=\"19\">\n<li><strong>Path<\/strong>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">\n      All media paths will be relative to the path specified in the \u201cMedia URL base\u201d option (including the <a href=\".\/featured-image\" target=\"_blank\">Featured image<\/a>).\n    <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><a id=\"prepend_siteurl_to_fileurl\"><\/a><strong>Prepend site&#8217;s URL<\/strong>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">\n      Each media URL will be prepended by the site\u2019s URL. It\u2019s useful when there is a need to quickly copy the content to another site. But, if it is turned off, all URLs will be relative. It\u2019s good for content protection needs. Available only in <a href=\"\/products\/wordpress\/post-docx-source#features\" target=\"_blank\">plugin\u2019s full mode<\/a>.\n    <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Note: <\/strong>There are special plugins that help organize media by changing default storing media\u2019s paths. One of them is <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/custom-upload-dir\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">here<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note: <\/strong>If WordPress is set up that the media upload path is dependent on the post\u2019s title, slug, or categories, the upload path can be changed after post save. So, \u2018Upload\u2019 is turned off in draft posts.\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> If \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/custom-upload-dir\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Custom Upload Dir<\/a>\u2019 is used and %permalink% is used in the media path then the final media path won\u2019t be correct for draft posts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Media are supported as embedded and as linked.
