{"id":3912,"date":"2020-10-11T21:41:08","date_gmt":"2020-10-11T21:41:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.s-sols.com\/?post_type=doc&#038;p=3912"},"modified":"2020-10-12T00:11:55","modified_gmt":"2020-10-12T00:11:55","slug":"google-drive-access-setup-wp","status":"publish","type":"doc","link":"https:\/\/www.s-sols.com\/docs\/wordpress\/google-drive-access-setup-wp","title":{"rendered":"Setting up access to Google Drive WordPress"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  To generate a Client ID, you need to follow a few steps in your Google account.\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Create a project:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>\n        Open <a href=\"https:\/\/console.developers.google.com\/project\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">list of projects<\/a>.\n      <\/li>\n<li>\n        Click on the &#8216;Create Project&#8217; button.\n      <\/li>\n<li>\n        Give your project a name and click on &#8216;Create&#8217;.\n      <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Enable API:<\/strong>\n<ul start=\"4\">\n<li>\n        Click on the top left \u2018Menu icon\u2019 and choose \u2018API and Services\u2019 -&gt; \u2018Library\u2019.\n      <\/li>\n<li>\n        Search and enable \u2018Google Drive API\u2019 and \u2018Google Picker API\u2019.\n      <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Create application:<\/strong>\n<ul start=\"6\">\n<li>\n        Click on the top left \u2018Menu icon\u2019 and choose \u2018API and Services\u2019 -&gt; \u2018OAuth consent screen\u2019.\n      <\/li>\n<li><a id=\"_Hlk53363877\"><\/a>Choose \u2018External\u2019 and click on &#8216;Save&#8217;.\n      <\/li>\n<li>\n        Enter the application name (e.g. My Google Drive Accessor) and choose E-mail.\n      <\/li>\n<li>\n        Add your WordPress\u2019s domain in \u2018Authorised domains\u2019 and press \u2018Save and continue\u2019.\n      <\/li>\n<li><a id=\"_Hlk53364169\"><\/a>Add \u2018<strong>&#8230;\/auth\/drive.file<\/strong>\u2019 and \u2018<strong>&#8230;\/auth\/drive<\/strong>\u2019 to scopes and press \u2018Save and continue\u2019.<a id=\"_Hlk53364186\"><\/a>\n      <\/li>\n<li>\n        Leave \u2018Optional info\u2019 blanks and press \u2018Save and continue\u2019.<a id=\"_Hlk53364282\"><\/a>\n      <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\"><strong>Note.<\/strong> If the access is needed only for personal or test use the notice about unverified up can be ignored.<a id=\"_Hlk53364327\"><\/a>\n    <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Create Client ID:<\/strong>\n<ul start=\"12\">\n<li><a id=\"_Hlk53363890\"><\/a>Click on the &#8216;Credentials&#8217; link in the left sidebar.<a id=\"_Hlk53364382\"><\/a>\n      <\/li>\n<li>\n        Now click on top &#8216;Create Credentials\u2019 dropdown button and select \u2018OAuth Client ID\u2019.\n      <\/li>\n<li>\n        Select &#8216;Web application&#8217; as Application type, enter your WordPress website&#8217;s URL with &#8216;www.&#8217; as Authorized Java Script origin (http:\/\/www.yourwebsite.com), and click on the \u2018Create\u2019 button.
