BodyPost .DOCX Source for WordPress

The top content of the document (.DOCX) is used for the post body. The bottom content can be used for other attributes. There is a sample document that demonstrates the most of markup features.

The body can contain standard HTML compatible elements that will be converted to the content’s body:

Review mode#

The MS Word’s review mode can be enabled so the final document’s view will be used. It can be useful when:

  • The document should be reviewed before publication by other people and all review notes should be kept doing not forget the correctives’ reasons in the future.
  • Some parts should be hidden (‘commented’) from conversion that are e.g. under development.

String markup#

An additional word or string coloring can be used. E.g. it helps highlight some keywords that will be used in SEO to see what words are used for promotion. While conversion all markups will be avoided if the ‘Use text coloring’ option is not set.

Check and downgrade over-leveled headers#

Any web page with more than one ‘Header 1’ header is considered incorrect, and search engines omit it in the search results. The plugin identifies such situations and fixes (lowers everything rests headers on one level) if the «Downgrade over-leveled headers» option is set.

Clean Anchors#

Document anchors (bookmarks) can be also cleared by setting this option.

Clean page breaks#

If the document has page breaks, but there is no need to use them, it can be skipped by setting this option.

Comments#

Comments can be used e.g. for note something important in the original document. While conversion all comments will be avoided.
